Everyone on this page contributes to the hospital in multiple ways, carrying at least a double workload to ensure that everything gets done.  Nothing gets done without them, and we're lucky they're here. 

McCain Smith

McCain Smith, one of our Veterinary Assistants, is something of a world traveler.  She grew up in Jackson Hole and received her first degree in marketing from Ohio State.  She has returned to UNR to study animal science, and is intent on working to become a veterinarian.

McCain has traveled through and worked in South Africa, and has a dream of someday working there as a veterinarian on a game farm or at a zoo.  She has already passed on one opportunity to stay in South Africa, when she turned down the offer to stay with the Zulu people as wife #19 to their chieftain.  Probably a good decision, but if nothing else she could at least return later and get a higher number.
